Battle of Tarawa 60th Anniversaries

The people of Betio in co-operation with the Betio Town Council will organise a big event to honour
the Battle of Tarawa 60 the Anniversaries. It should be on 20 November 2003 but the big function
will be on Saturday, 22 Nov. 2003. The US Ambassor based in Suva Fiji will come to the day as well
as soldiers who are still alive with their wives. Peace Corp arrange for that. His Excellency, Anote
Tong, President of the Republic of Kiribati will be the guest speaker as well.
It will be a big day. Taanks Harry
