hey.
I'd kind of like to be able to use different fonts and colors. it's not too important, but it'd be
more fun.

Hi Jenny,
Is there a reason why you'd like to change these things? Do you want to have bigger fonts or just
different ones? What parts of the site would you like to be able to customize? For example, do you
just want the navigation to be a different colour or other pages as well?
Just curious

I think a good addition to the profile might be a heroes section where people can fill in the names
of people that they really look up to or have given them inspiration.

oops.
really belated, but i just like to be able to write with fonts that match my personality or mood for
the day. and color...how can you go wrong with color? the discussion boards are the place i'd most
like to use them, followed by My TIG.

Were you thinking along the lines of people like George Bush (haha... ok, kidding) and people
external to TIG?
Or more along the lines of other members?
JennySmith: I think the problem comes when either people start posting in 36 yellow
font, just because they can, or decide that colouring each paragraph the colours of the rainbow
looks cool. It isn't. We're all for colour around here (as you can see!) but the potential for ugly
ugly abuse is overwhelming. I don't think there is much hope, sorry

Wiki tool in projects - to compare previous versions like you can on Wikipedia - that'd be great!
I really like the idea of using Wikis to generate/develop/organise ideas (of many people), so being
able to compare previous versions (and also who added what) are really important tools to track
that. =)
Thanks.

I was thinking more like:
Ghandi, Foucault, etc. people external to TIG. I think the inspire button works for people that are
TIG members.

Another suggestion would be the opening up of the global gallery to videos as well, or at least
working streams of peoples youtube submissions. Video is a creative arts form that works really well
with technology and youth.

One thing I find hard to do without is having the post(s)
I'm replying to on the reply page. Most forum tools give yu the last page, so if I wanted to reply
to a number of posts on the same thread, you can. I do a work around by always opening another
window to reply in., but it is a work around.
This concern was raised awhile ago, but I still find it a problem now. It's very awkward not
being able to see posts that you are replying to. I do the same work-around by having two tabs open
- one with my reply and a second with the forum thread - but it's inconvenient.
Is there any way to add the feature Simon suggested?
As another suggestion: could there be a tool on TIG to facilitate the English correction of others'
posts? It might be helpful to be able to offer edits to others' posts in a structured, polite
(maybe anonymous?) way. It would help make posts easier to understand if the poster's native
language is not English, and it could help improve those posters' written skills. Of course the
edits would only appear to the poster, as users only have (and should only have) the power to change
their own posts. It could also be a feature that users can choose to enable/disable based on
whether they want feedback or not.
I'm not sure if that feature would be widely used, but it seems useful, especially English as
becomes more of a universal language for communication.

BUMP.
I am interested in others' opinions about my suggestions...from 2 months ago. If you don't like
them, that is totally fine. Any comments are appreciated. Thank you!

Two very interesting/good ideas! I like the English suggestion, and you are right about have the
last pages' posts on the reply form. I'll bring up these two ideas at the next meeting we have and
let you know.
As always, thanks for your input.
