concierge/errand service: good idea?

This'll be my first post, or I guess it's called "thread". Here we go...
A while back I wanted to return people's movies. Simple. I'd keep my day job and return movies by night. I'd charge a dollar per movie, and well, that's it. Simple. But then the idea slowly turned into this: why stop at returning their movies. Why not do all their errands?
So lately i've been doing some research, and sure enough there are concierge/errand services up and running, and they seem to be successful. What the existing errand businesses are doing is they're approaching large companies and saying "look, your employees need new benefits, so why not offer them an errand service?" And the next thing you know, a life insurance company is paying you $2000/month to run its employees' errands. Get 2 companies to subscribe, $4000/month, and so on.
My question is this: what are your thoughts? Does anybody know much about errand services? Does anybody think this is a goofy idea?
All comments are completely appreciated. Cheers!
