The following are my suggested plans of action to reduce pollution and waste:
-eliminate coal burning power plants and replace them with Nuclear plants or Hydro (eliminates air pollution)
-begin to phase in Windmills and Solar Pads as a source of electricity.
-offer homes solar pads for electricity generation for homes, people can then also get paid for providing electricity back to the grid.
-make a limit to the amount of garbage to be picked up.
-implement mandatory recycling program.
-extend drive clean testing for cars.
-phase out internal combustion engine and replace with H2 cars, elec cars, and hybrids.
-increase the amount of bike lanes.
-improve and encourage transit system.
-give incentives for buying fuel efficient cars and tax gas guzzlers.
-clean sulfer from gas.
-recycle obsolete computer equipment.
-encourage people to conserve energy and use energy efficient devices.
-plant more trees
-ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO CARE!!!!

Well, I cant find any fault with those suggestions.
The real question is "how do we do it!!!"
It seems, as humans, we're far from short on ideas and opinions on how (or if) we save the planet. But what we are short on is co-ordination of our efforts, and agreement on the issues most pivotal to our future.
Perhaps if we were to take action forward, and to operate with a spirit of togetherness, we couldnt fail.

The advices that Mecheng gave are pretty reasonable but the problems is that no one cares. Me & my class have been talking about these sorts of things and we think it's a great idea. We are not only talking about waste problems, etc but wee're also talking about poverty, world hunger, etc and we thought we could do something about it but hey, how much can we, just a small group of people do if no one else cares. Compared to the WORLD Problems even if we tried to help we won't get much done. But still we(my class) have the dream to.
