what is your ideal business

when i was growing up,i felt or rather knew i wanted to be a journalist.but like other kids my age,i had too many dreams on my plate.i think i began writing at the age of 10 or earlier. whenever i was driving somewhere with either of my parents, i always made it a point to read out what the billboards were saying and for whatever i couldnt pronounce , i made my parents tell me. when i went to primary school, i made 100% in my English exams,i was (i dont mean to blow my trumphet) the best student at English.anywhere below 90% and i got told off by my teachers. my writing was a cut above the rest,i was writing for children's papers at 13.i loved writing and lived for reading books nomatter the volumes.
i was watching CNN one time and i saw catherine Bond reporting on the war between iran and iraq and bombs were going off behind her, and into the bin went my dream of being a journalist.
then came my mother who was convinced i would make the best lawyer in the world.so at 15,it was planted in me that i was cut out to be a lawyer. the fact is my mother was right about it.
i have read every sing book by john grisham( he is one hell of a lawyer and author)whever there was an argument in our house,i was the laywer for the defendant and needless to say, my clients never lost a case. i always seem to have a reason for everything i do. my mother is even convinced i could argue my way out of a murder at gun point.
while nursing my passion for the law profession,i have also come to realise how unfair the law is. most people beleive lawyers are liars and crooks. someone has said 'a good lawyer is not one who knows the law but one that knows the judge'
once agai, my dream is being killed along the way.
i have finally realised another course in life, business
my father is an entrepreneur and this has partly fuelled my passion for business.
i got to study Economics and business at A level and this fuelled my passion for business.
next to the sports pages, the business pages have become an obsession of mine and i make it a point to follow mergers and takeovers( not your typical teenager i would say).instead of cosmo girl,i opt for the financial times and economist
i have recently applied to university for a BSC in international business and managementand that should be exciting coz am doing a sandwich,so i can go to some countries and observe how they do business.
it may appear that my dream dreaming has finally come to an end,but am still writing for a few magazines(its unpaid unfortunately) and also trying to do some bit of volunteering in youth work.
my dream? i want to open a chain of stores around the world,am yet to decide if it will be bookstores like WHSmith and Waterstones or supermarkets like TESCO.
i could let you in on my business ventures but that wont make me a good business person, besides,i need the competitive advantage to stay ahead of the game and give my competition a run for their money.
so tell me, what do you want to be,what if any is your ideal business venture? the question is open to opinions.

Empowering Small and Medium Business: Who's Willing to Answer this Call?

I am currently developing a system here in the Philippines that will allow small and medium businesses to gain a marketing advantage in the industry. I am networking different businesses and synchronizing their opertation inorder to promote a culture of coopertation. I believe that if businesses will tend to cooperate with one another instead of competing with each other, the greater chance that these businesses will grow and thus be able to help more people.
Those who are intereste to venture in this project, kindly email me at christopher.bernardo@up.edu.ph
Please pass...

Well, my ideal business is helping Gaia back to health.
There is no money in that. Actually i am trying to get rid of money altogether.
Business are just the weapons of the economic wars which in turn is just helping Mankind destroy everything.
Sorry i twisted everything....
You have a good head on your shoulders, it seems, find the best path not only for yourself but for all #3 class of people or_not!
Good luck, smart ones!

I quite understood what you meant and I wsa also in the same shoe like you, although I do not have my own business but I look up to my parents who both have their own businesses and struggled throughout.WIth thier experience, I have learnt a lot of things with having to run and own your own business..
Its not always easy to start and own a business, it takes lot of courage and risks, and also perserverance and endurance. One has to like close one's eyes to a lot of things, like first and foremost, we all have a number of business ideas in mind, then the next question is will this kind of business prosper in this particular location, thats where the topic of feasibility comes in, you have to make a feasiblitiy study of the location of where you intend to start your business, look into a number of things, like man power, resources and other factors, with that you can come up with the kind of business you are looking into.Personally I beleive a business would succedd anywhere as long as its at the right place, it serves a particular function at that location and it is properly managed and run. So goodluck in your venture...

Making people change from being the one that has to rely on others into a person that others can rely to is a most noble one !
Just living is not by any chance enough.
Imagine those that rely on aid are in fact representing a weight that those that create have to carry on their shoulders. It means they are decreasing the value of end results of those people.
So... if we manage to make as many of the poor people into those that contribute we are solving a LOT:
Now with numbers:
- One giver (well doing man) can support two takers (..)
- A taker is a negative value, it substracts the value of society!
- Therefore we get disparity 1 : 3 or even 1 : 4 if we manage to enable "taker" to become "contributor" to the society
- ENDLINE: IT IS MORE THAN PROFITABLE TO FUND "EMPOWERING" OF POOR. SOCIETY WILL BE GRATEFULL ! SO WILL THE PEOPLE
Ave Futuria: Freedom ! Equality ! Progress !
