Let Create Our Own Media!!!!1

I firmly believe that all these problems need to be talked about. However, I think the best way to solve them is for us to create a media system that does not filter people's awareness of important issues.
So I created www.coanews.org
- I think we need to create more indy media organizations and build coalitions - to take on commercial media.
We should also connect globally to create awareness campaigns - Check out this grassroots awareness collective: https://lists.resist.ca/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/aoa

Thanks both of you for the links. I'll add them to my burgeoning Bookmarks folder.
Ray...where have you been! Feel free to jump into some of the new threads. I there's one called 2004 Presidential Election that you should check out.
I have become in the past year or so a complete online news junkie. I don't even have any one favorite (ok...Google news page is good!). I feel that to just look at the "big boys" in broadcast media is to limit yourself severely. BBC is a good exception through.

Great Sites!

Check this site out:
http://freethinkingfriends.blogspot.com
It is precisely about this issue and, in fact, is the "home" site of an email campaign dealing with this issue.
The blog is built by a good friend of mine for whom I have provided some help.
He also has this site:
http://electoralmap.blogspot.com
which I have been helping him with...it's a great site for tracking the US Presidential Elections.
Please spread the word and tell your friends!
God Bless!

Its not too hard to create your own internet radio station. Problem occurs when trying to attract listeners. Low bandwith radio station could reach also dial-up listeners.
Such low cost radio station could broadcast ideas and knowledge. (Costs for playing music is higher)
