luv - the destructive kind

Just reading the paper got an idea. There r different kinds of luv. im not talking about the romantic kind . But the other sort .Luv for ur country is called patriotism which is what leads to wars . Luv for ur religion leads to fanatic behaviour , religiouswars and jehads .So what is the alternative to war -hating war or luving peace ?? U cant stop a missile with a sonnet can u??there has to be some way in between right . everything doesnt have to be black and white .
