Your own holly Bible recommends killing of homosexuals! Now that's barbaric!
I know Christians don't follow the OT to the word, but homosexuality is also condemned strongly in Christian religion.
So why are you refraning to judge?
Udara touched on the core of the issue. Is homosexuality a matter of choice, or is it innate?
Well, if omosexuality is a matter of choice, then it's clearly wrong. Because then it's a perversion, rather than a natural thing to do.
if it's innate, which it is not, then one should have to know whether it's a birth defect, or a natural genetic variation in human sexuality.

Religion (and governments) deals with people issues. Sex cannot be seperated for we are still, and acting like, animals in many ways.
Religions (and somewhat governments)were created to "civilize" the animal within us. As many of these religions rose at various times and locations for different reasons and under different circumstances, the solutions (rules, guidelines, laws) varied one from the other. With each their own representative or prophet as a foundation.
Like many other posts involving sex, there seems to be two extreme camps. The liberal and the conservative with others in between unsure or undecided on many of the issues.
Like all others who have posted here, i too, have my own opinions and their reasons for these salivations of my mind.
Religion is how we live alongside and get along with all life forms (in harmony is my wish/hope). This planet is the only church i know. Everyone has to live with themselves in their own skin. If some want to go bi, others same, that is their choice. My belief is that men and women were made different anatomicaly for one reason alone. To enjoy at atomic heights when both parties wish as long as no one gets hurt.
We all live in these live animal bodies with many nerve endings all loving what nature offers us in each our own way. Please include all senses on that line! This cannot be denied, nullified or changed by any doctrine!
Long live the civilized free animal.

I beg to differ. As not-neo has said above, various religions and their variations came into existence at different times and places and for various reasons. Maybe homosexuality is a trait that was developed for some such reason.
Evolution has shown that nature tries to adapt to its surroundings. So maybe the trait for homosexuality or bisexuality exists in all humans but is supressed by other traits and society.
Unfortunately I cannot prove this 'theory' either way.

beavesoul - you quote me quoting Christ but are too blind to realise what that means.
When dealing with Christianity if it's a conflict between the Old Testement and what Jesus himself ordered then JC wins each time.
You can't compare divinely inspired with the words of the Son of God.
