Raising awarness of Belarussian dictatorship

Hi,
I'd like to tell you about my current internet project.
www.belinfo.org.uk
Last year I visited Belarus as part of a UNICEF youth project on the UN Convention of the Child. Whilst there I fell in love with the country and people of Belarus and dream every day of returning there. Sadly however Belarus has some serious political problems that are largely ignored by the West.
Their President Alexander Lukashenko has become a Europe’s last dictator, re-writing the countries great constitution and suppressing opposition movements and even banning concerts that don't meet the state's standards.
After hearing all the stories coming out of Belarus from the friends I met out there I decided to start campaigning to raise awareness amongst people in my local community.
And then some bad news came from Minsk - Pres. Lukashenko is attempting to abolish term limits for the office of President! So I decided it's about time people found out about what's happening in Belarus.
So I set up www.belinfo.org.uk to give people access to the latest news from the Belarussian election and constitutional referendum.
So this is my project for now - I hope you visit my site, feel free to sign my guestbook or email me with your comments.
