Smoking: a ravaging VICE

Smoking is generally seen in our country and environment.
It is so widespread that one may be tempted to ask what is the benefits or some of the numerous benefits of these smokers or even reasons for smoking.
Picking a miniature survey, you are likely to hear some of these reasons:
I smoke for warmth
I smoke for depression
I smoke to get high
I smoke to forget my problems
I smoke to Let go some thoughts
I smoke to get strenght
I smoke to keep fit
I smoke as a habit, pass time etc
In Nigeria, there are many types of brands both those with enough filters and those without. Both those with menthol and those without. And many other faulty factors that could be observed when poked into the matter. Smokers often smoke under the scorching heat of the sun. This automatically rules out the fact of smoking for warmth. Some smoke early in the morning, some in the evening. This rules out most of the reasons given by them; the smokers
This is somewhat funny but deteriorating, especially to our youths, who fall susceptible, massively to this ravaging rake-thongs of this rare devil- smoking.
My father once compared smoking to paying some body to get your buttocks, wiped.
It destroys the lungs and also stochastically causes lung cancer and probably other lung, smoke related problems.
Also, as a menace o the society, after smoking, most youths, combined with the effects of over-watching of violent movies, tend towards behaving abnormally in terms of socially.
Societal vices are bound to increase in such situations.
In addition to all these, the persons personality is at stake and the families name dragged in the mud.
Writing these, does not mean to put up any type of attack or verbal assault on any person especially smokers, but to call for a reconsideration on certain thoughts taken by the youths.
Hope to write more on this, but for the mean time, RUMINATE ON THESE!
