There has been so much debate about the need for poor countries to embrace 'best practices' of policy based on macro, micro economic reforms and good governance for their prosperity, but it is clear that these neo-liberal ideologies have one objective of concerntrating wealth in the West. It has reached the stage where the exploiters have done so much damage to the steps of the ladder they climb up and down they are afraid that one day the steps below may not be safe to step on anymore and may collapse.
This drives me to the new approach from the neoliberal institutions where a social component in their ideologies is being advocated for through Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers PRSPs, which is so difficult to access without being bombarded by conditionalities of the Poverty Reduction Growth Fund PRGF that cripple poor countries into further poverty under the guise of privatisation and free market ideals.
I mean come on, the West keep changing the goal post and still expect developing countries to be equal competitors in the global market, its down right unfair and exploitative. In these instances you wonder why there is hatred for power houses like USA when their foreign policies prioritise money over human life? its undignified and evil I tell you!
If the West believe in helping Africa then let Africa process its own raw materials without heavy tariffs on these goods. abandon these subsidies you are giving to your farmers that is distorting the market, ween off your 'big babies' and let them come out to play with the 'grown ups'. We have the resources and you the technology so lets 'play'.
