Read what the Pope said

With this high HIV/AIDS prevalence every one is saying the best prevention is practicing safe sex. In uganda safe sex is all about the ABS's of sex( Abstanince, Being faithful, and Condom use). To many safe sex is condom use,to you what is safe sex and how safe is safe sex.

Faithfulness

In my own view, condom is not 100% sure but personal faithfulness to oneself and one future is 100% guarantee. We need to know ourselves and know what we believe and our weakness for those who their weak point is opposite sex.

A major part of the safe sex fad is as unsafe as it is easy to write down the word safe sex

It would probably be best if we stop doing just everything(?). Man this is continuing to be getting better and better. Anyway best is to know. everything. if you know where & how, you avoid a lot of problems. Just like having a good map as you steer a boat in the storm.

safe sex??????
October 19, 2004 - 06:26 AM

Friends, in my opinion there is no word like safe sex. Because sex is never safe. We can talk about safer sex. Problems like HIV / AIDS / STIs can be controlled by reducing partners and doing safer sex. And safer sex here means consistent and proper use of condoms.

I am not interested in ABC rule since Abstinance, faithfullness are not realistic. Yes condom is a better idea. But for condom as I said consistent and correct use is necessary.

Let me know waht other feel about it.

how safe is safe sex
October 22, 2004 - 01:24 AM

Safe sex is all about not doing the sex at the first place, esp when we here in Zimbabwe, in other words we call it zero grazing. So if you practice safe sex you autamatically looking at abstinence, being faithful to an uneffected partner. Using a condom is not safe sex as the condom might break, so take care.

Safe Sex

I think safe sex means 100% safe, in that case abstinence should be taken into consideration. As for those who cannot abstain then condom is an obtion although it is not 100% safe!! Faithfulness plays a major role in practicing safe sex.

safer sex ?
October 22, 2004 - 03:50 AM

I think safer sex is more than simply knowing how to correctly put on a condom. It is more than being able to recite the four body fluids that carry and transmit HIV.

Safer sex is knowing your partner's HIV status. Safer sex is about knowing yourself so well that you can represent your needs at all times in all situations so that you don't put yourself in a situation of risk. Safer sex is feeling safe with the person you are having sex with.

I agree safe sex is abstinance but let's be realistic right not everyone is abstaining so the best thing is to protect your self and your loved ones by using condoms, having one sexual partner and being arlet all the time and finally by knowing your status!!!

I believe that no matter what reason you choose to save yourself for your husband/wife, whether it be faith or just customary, you are ultimately showing that you are a person of committment. I agree its not about how safe sex is. It is about "should I be having sex."
