What do red kite do to decorate themselves??? We have a valley full of them only 10 minutes inland of where i live but i didn't know they decorated themselves.

I have been away for a while and was refreshed to see the same narrow minded prselytizing still exists on TIG. Animals do indeed use fashion if you consider the expression of color and elaborate decoration to be fashion, in fact there are whole behavioral texts dedicated to the process. In fact I believe the term is the "runaway train hypothesis'. Why when the discussions here are related to sexuality in peoplke do people run to the animal world to excuss/condemn behaviour? This is almost as outmoded as using religous texts written and reinterprited over tyhe last two thousand years or more.
Human sexuality has not been scientifically determined to have a biological definining point - ie there is no definitive biological test for homosexuality. However there are several indications including neural structure in the brain, and even a couple of genetic markers. As for marriage, who is hurt by gay marriages, do people really think that society will collapse because two people who care about each other and want to consolodate their relationship. Anyway the principle reason for gay marriage is a legal and ethical point, in many states in the US the benefits and privledges of a partner are not offically recognized, thus a married couple is allowed more rights and priveldges (legal definition of next of kin, health care, insurance, legal stauts) than a non-married couple. Preventing this priveldge is therefore a disciminatory act. Would we decry the marriage betwen ethnic groups - not now, forty years ago would be different and equally wrong. Also the old saw about procreation has been put forward. Should couples not be allowed to marry if they are unable to reproduce? REligous arguments wont wash anymore. In the bible it states that unruly children should be stonned. Yes people that is right in there in Leviticus the same guy quoted so much in antigay literature. How many of us carry a pocket full of rocks in case a kid mouths of. Also consider the coverting of a neighbours ass and the other stuff, I am sure these are not the only points but I couldnt be bothered trawling through more hypocrisy.
Homosexuality is not a choice, I know of people who went through untold torment in coming to terms with themselves. The main reason for this pain is the public condemnation and smal minded opinion.
according to Kinsey )(quoted earlier) about one in ten people had homsexual leanings. How many people are in your school/office? News flash gay people are not sexual predators any more than straight people, nor are they child abusors, or any of the other epithets. Gay people are no better or worse than the rest of the population, why then should they not have the same rights and obligations?

Gay guinee pigs

Gays and Lesbians are to keep overpopulation low which is a cause of nature.. Balance is needed to limit the problems that occure on this world..
I once had a gay Guinnee Pig... I called him Gorby, coz he had this brown spot on his head like Gorbatjov.. Now this guinnee pig was a bit of a horny lill bastard.. So you know how it goes, as he grew older he wanted to go to clubs.. And I was all like: what time will you be home?! And he was all like: hey man get off my back.. So I let him go.. Then one night I went out clubbing and I was walking passed this gay club and there was Gorby kissing with another Guinnee pig.. So the next day we had breakfast together.. I had scrambled eggs and bacon, Gorby had his usual lettuce, brickedie crunchies.. And I said to him: Gorby is there anything you wanna tell me.. He started crying and told me he was gay.. I didnt care coz I loved him just as much.. And I said: Its all good man, 10% of all Guinnee pigs are gay.. He looked at me relieved and was glad I responded so cool.. Coz Im a cool guy like that..you know?!
gorby now lives together with another male.. And I must say he's truely happy.. Sometimes I visit him, coz he married the guy, and they have this big house with electric spinning wheel and small pool.. i must say they cook beautiful meals and wear fashionable clothes.. They're so much fun..
What Im trying to say is, why worry about these things just respect everyones choice... Why wonder whether its natural or not.. I always think the more gay people, the littler the competition is for us hetero sexual guys.... right?!?! To all my straight people out there, gay guys have good taste and usually look good, if they turn heteroseksual in one day, you will never, and I mean never, get a sexi chick again...

Well since I once chose to buy Gorby... I told him that he's always welcome to move back in with me. If the system doesn't work for certain people coz of a discriminating law I'll be the first one to stand up and help the fellow out.. Coz thats the kinda guy I am...

Hey Bravo! well said, But dont use 'we' too much.. You make it seem like no one understands, I think there's plenty of people out there who do understand. I used to have a Gay guinnee pig who was gayer than the average gay here in Amsterdam.. We used to team up when we were walking around the centre, when we saw a couple he would hit on the guy and leave me with the girl... Maaann he was a player.. He could make a straight man gay in two flinches of his eye.. But like you said "that the pet goldfish had lived forever"
Gorby died 3 weeks ago... And I had already accepted the fact that he wouldnt live forever..
