Political advocacy in Aboriginal Australian communities.
July 13, 2004 - 12:42 PM

I am seeking help in regards to uniting Australian Aboriginal communities. As an Indigneous person, I find it alarming that my people do not care for politics or the law yet always complain when the government takes more funding away from our projects. As a Revert/Convert to Islam I can see that what I did as a kid was in most cases horrible and wrong. Now I see my own people going down the drain and dying off in prison and on drugs.
What I need is people who can help me to help my people understand the process of law and government so I can help to educate them more. Our people are suffering and our own people turn a blind eye. I know that there are alot of worse places to live in the world but where is our justice. Any help would be great.
You may if you want to send me info at Rashidnasir2004@hotmail.com.

Hey RASHID
just looking at your post I must say that I am glad that you are seeking help in this matter because it is one that is not being internationally reflected on.......... I personally do not know the Australian situation but it sounds similar to one that many if not all people with melanin face throughout the world.......... one thing I can suggest is check out different peoples profiles according to their location, specifically Australia and contact them for local/ national coorporation and also check out the opportunities section on the top bar as well as check the affiliated Australian associations or organizations of TIG in the community (???) section on top.
Have you looked into a local radio station that may give you access to contribute to your community?????
You might not imagine what lies right at your doorsteps if you just look at it........
much luck and keep on checking into TIG
