I think that GMO can be used for purposes that are very useful. For example, using bacteria to grow insulin or to produce another useful protein. I do however believe that GMO should remain on the molecular level and should not be used to modify human beings for cosmetic reasons.

Can be of environmental benefit

I read an article discussing how some GMO crops require less tilling of the soil and so prevents soil erosion. Maybe a case-by-case approach is a good way to go.

I think using genetics for plants could be a great thing. We could make fruits and veggies the biggest and tastiest they could possibly be.

But I am way against messing with animals' genetics. We should leave that to nature. We have no right to turn animals into freaks and use them in labs. No matter how an animal is created, whether it was created naturally or in a lab, it is still an animal and it has feelings and deserves a normal life. If we change an animal's genetics it will be a lab animal and no creature deserves to live in that kind of hell.

well it depends! it can be very good! i think it'd be great if they'd create plants that could grow in the desserts so that people would grow them there! and the hunger for them would be over!

Well, you have to keep masses of desert people well fed. Otherwise they will want to go to Europe, thinking its a promised land.
