Five Minutes to Midnight, an internationally read youth-run publication will be accepting article and photograph submissions until June 21, 2004 for its upcoming e-book. The organization, found online at http://www.fiveminutestomidnight.org/ is working with the United Nations Association in Canada ? Toronto Branch, as well as numerous organizations in Nepal, Brazil, Pakistan, Australia, and other countries, to put together an e-book on ?Youth Rights and the Protection Thereof.? A limited number of books will also be published to raise money for various youth-focused charities around the world.
To make this project a success, Five Minutes to Midnight is accepting articles focusing on youth issues (child prostitution, war, health issues, success stories, etc.) to publish in the book. Articles should be around 1,000 words long and should have their sources cited. All authors will be credited for their work, and will have an opportunity to have their writing read all around the world.
Furthermore, the project also requires photography taken of youth, or by youth. The focus of the photography can be anything from your friends to explorations of issues like war and peace.
