Email?

If you feel comfortable, why don't you post your email address in the discussion forum so that we can respond to you directly with our answers? Rather than take up a lot of discussion forum space which is a bit unwieldy smile

Hopefully we can create a publically accessible survey tool on TIG to help members with this kind of thing in the near future.

Cheers
Nick

1. Are you a regular Internet user?
Yes

2. Do you visit news websites?
Yes

3. Which sites do you visit?
http://news.google.com/ mostly. This site leads me to many others which I view sporadically.

4. What is the value of news websites as a source of news?
Instant access. Also you can get more in-depth coverage online as opposed to TV where you get only sound bites.
5. What are the advantages of this media compared to newspapers, radio or television?
Newspapers you can only get at your front door or at newsstand/bookstore. Internet can be on your phone, at work, at school and at home. Radio is only available in car mostly in US, I'm not allowed to listen to radio at work but can use Internet. TV: recycles same broadcasts over and over and again isn't everywhere.
6. What do you like about the sites?
I can choose what I read. I don't have to wait for the story about the Spelling Bee champ to find out what's going on.
7. Do you find the news on the Internet credible? Give reasons. More so than TV anyway. Many online news sites are smaller and less influenced by big advertisers.

8. On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the lowest, 10 highest) how would you rate the sites you visit? 10. Google news is updated every few minutes and gives you a sampling of news from many sources. On any given story you can choose your source...you aren't locked into any one source.

9. Do you visit international news sites? What are your ratings compared to local news sites? Sometimes. they tend to be less US friendly...which is good!
