looking at the new resolution of the United States about iraq and what President Bush said. is there any hopes that the hand over of power to the Iraqi people will ends the conflict in the region. l want to think unless Bush and his boys quit the area with their tanks and truck and planes. the destruction of Abbu Ghraib prison is marvelous and only the disgrace being brought to the US Army has made Bush to finally say it will be destoyed. please do you think 30 june will mark end of conflict in iraq

I personally do not. While these is certainly fighting that is directed at US troops, the conflict is mainly perpetuated by terrorists (many of whom are not Iraqi). Even the complete departure of US personnel will only reduce the number of Americans who are dying an redirect the violence toward Iraqis.
I only think that once the US gets out of the way, the people of Iraq will finally have a chance to fight these people in their own way. When the average Iraqi is no longer fearful of resisting the presence of these terrorists, then they will take back their country and the violence will subside. Unfortunately, I don't think that this will happen immediately after June 30.
Of course, this is just my opinion...I pray that it ends even sooner.
God Bless.
