Your future with IT...

Hello Guys!
In our time now, not all schools, especially in less-developed countries, are not that integrated with IT.
In your own perspective, what do you think are the benefits of graduating from a school with IT-integrated education. Does this even matter to your future profession or life? Is it an advantage or a disadvantage on our part as a youth, the hope to a better future.
Share some of your experiences and goals in life.
Good luck!

Graduating from a school with IT- integrated education has its benefits. First of all, students who graduate from this schools are more literate in technology. Most high-paying jobs nowadays require a certain level of computer-literacy. Second, people with IT backgrounds benefit more since they could use technology in making their lives easier in many aspects. For example, people who have knowledge of Microsoft Excel can do bookkeeping faster and easier than people who do it manually. Third, people who have backgrounds in IT can easily cope up with changes and developments especially in the fields of Science and Technology. I remember my grandparents when we first introduced them to the mobile phone. We had a hard time teaching them on how to use this technological advancement.
Some people might have different point of views regarding this topic but we can all conclude that IT plays a very major role nowadays and it will continue doing so in the future.

I think that having a part of your education being integrated with IT is very important. As has been said, higher paying jobs require you to be computer literate and lower paying jobs require you to have some affiliation to the logic of a computer.
Personally I can see the day when everyone will be fully aquainted with technology as a society

I'm glad that you agree. Here in the Philippines, employers always look at the computer literacy of an applicant. They see people who have backgrounds in IT to be more competitive. This is one aspect that schools must consider. They should teach their students to be more acquainted with technology. By doing so, their students will have more chances of finding decent jobs.

I think that by the time we graduate to not know how to work with IT will be a huge DISADVANTAGE. However for youth in developed countries even without courses or classes to learn how to use them, we can easily pick it up or we already know how to because it is so widely accessible. But in developing countries where there is just only bare minimal amount of education available to pupils, to try to aid them with technology would be a huge task. But I think we need to find a solution to how (if ever) we could do this. Otherwise the gap between the developed and developing world will widen, since as you guys have already mentioned, we will have all the higher-payed jobs which incoporate tech. on one end of the spectrum and then those which don't on the other.
From our generation onwards, I think all our futures will have the presence of technology in some form or another.

I totally agree with your opinions! In my country - Vietnam, most of the office-job required some knowledge on using the computer. Therefore, if you can't use the computer, they'll not accept you no matter how good your degree is. Moreover, people with technology-background can applied their knowledge on technology to make their work become easier. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To share is to get :)

Of course it matters in our professional lives And I don't think there are any cons to graduating from a IT-integrated school as long as IT usage is properly managed. Too much would have adverse effects. Too little in schools will definitely host problems for the future. However people can get training in ICT after becoming adults but it is best to start from a young age - you'll learn faster and better and probably end up with a more thorough understanding. I can say this from my own experience. I've been using computers since I was 4 but some of my friends, despite being from good backgrounds, fail to perform the simplest tasks in PCs. Some of them are pro-gamers but they do lag behind in many more important areas.
Personally I feel the extent of IT will spread throughout many job fields and everyone needs to be ready and 'equipped' for that.

Knowing something more, as long as it's not negative, will always be useful in life, and this stands for IT. No matter where and when, I think we will always find a use for IT in life, especially in this era of extreme development.

True enough. Computer literacy is already a necessity nowadays. In jobs, it is already a must for applicants. Just as ArKadian said, the technological age has already began.
