He isn't rejected, but because he's older he has more experience in what he does, so people actually come to him for help.

Racism and ageism are two different issues. According to your title, this thread is about Racism at workplace. However, according to your question, this thread is about agesim. Discrimination against older or younger is agesim and discimination against race and skin colour is Racism.

Yes there can be agesim and racism at workplace. Younger poeple can exclude older people in discussions at workplace. Same goes with racism. There can be a group of people with the same race; these people can exclude people of other races.

Regarding racism, I've been denied a job because of my skin color. The lady actually came out and told me that there was a greater need for the minorities in the community to get jobs, so I could not be hired.

As for ageism--never really experienced much of it.

I just thought that it might be slightly irrelevant to comment on her experience with that justification"yer just a baby yet" it makes no difference her experience was a legit and that gives her a reason to protest regardless of her age .....Also being of two different minotities( nativve american and black) i dont exactly agree with what the employer said but it is true its people like her who give my familt and friends chances for jobs at all
