Which field do you think will benefit most from IT enchancements

In your opinions, I'd like to know what fields in schools would most benefit from further use of ICT and technology.
Do you think it would be most beneficial for the maths, scieneces, etc and why.
Thanks

I think it will be very beneficial to all subjects in general. It all goes down to how the teacher will integrate IT in his/her classes. But for me, Science will benefit the most since it requires many laboratory experiments. Students can use experiment simulators instead of doing the experiments in the laboratory. By doing so, the students will get to know the concepts better because they are not bounded by the dangers of accidents in the laboratory. They could also get to explore more. This also minimizes the cost for equipments and facilities. I'm not saying that we should do all the experiments using the computer. Teachers should know how to balance conventional laboratory experimentations (which offers first-hand experience) with computer simulations.

As we all know, Science and technology always goes hand-in-hand. Hence, Science contributes to the development of technology and vice-versa.
Personally, I believe that Science benefits more from IT enhancements because it can make the application of Science more convenient. This is where software come in(just like what Paul suggested earlier). In Physics, a software that could compute problems that needs long calculations in just a split-second. Thus, we solved the problem with precision and accuracy(without even consuming a lot of time). In Chemistry, a software that could balance chemical equations and diagram different carbon compounds... etc. In Genetics, a software that could give a virtual image of the most probable manifestation of our soon-to-be child. This could be done by, of course, mixing our DNA with another and then scanning it or what so ever. Thus, we could arouse the interest of students towards learning about genes just because of this kinds of developments.
These are just some of the probable enhancements that IT could contribute to Science. These things may not be present now, but who knows, maybe someday it will be just like the usual software we use in our schools right now. And surely, these innovations would make learning more enhanced just as how Microsoft Office did 2 decades ago.

Some interesting concepts, although i think that it wouldn't only be sciences and technology in general that would benefit greatly.
Considering some of IT capabilities, such as communication and analystic abilities.
I think it would greatly help medical and biological advances. Scientists finally able to retreive, share and analyze things to create cures more efficiently, substainabily, and more effective. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Regards ArKadian.

Well, like what I have said before, it all goes down to the teacher's creativity. My teacher in English uses IT in lecturing about world literature. I must say that he does it very well. In Math, we can use softwares like Microsoft Math in plotting functions that are very inconvenient to graph. There are many ways in which educators can integrate IT into their lessons. It's all up to their creativity.

I guess that no matter what we say, we should always keep one thing in mind. The power of IT lies in its user.

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION
Affirming that ICT could encourage and enhance student's capability in learning process of all fields, i could say 2 points above that could we all tangibly earn.
Technology is such a helping tools for humankind to fasten and effectively being an alternative and solution to some activities in daily life.

In my opinion. IT has a lot of effect to many subject and can make students pay more attention to their subject. English is one of the subject that use IT effectively because my teacher make a sound lab.All of student will interactive with computer so, everyone can listen and speak nobody can't listening and speak English. That why I think IT is cool !

I'm glad to know that you have a laboratory like that in your school too! In our school, we call it the "Speech Lab". We go there for lessons in speech improvement. We get to go inside cubicles installed with state-of-the-art equipments. We also get to hear the discussions of our instructor through headphones. I really enjoy the learning experience every time we go there.

It is cool that tanarits has also got a labrotory in their school.
We have chemistry labs, and biology labs and we do alot of physic practical work in our classes. but in maths and english, we don't really incorporate much technology.
Although if it counts, we do have multiple kitchens for cooking and Phyical education so we learn how to make a sustainable and nutrioucious meal --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~ Regards ArKadian.

I think the medical field will benefit a lot. Look at how much improvement there has been in the medical field from decades ago. With all the advancements, everything is just one click away. A balanced diet, a healthy BMI.. etc. You can even have video conference from doctors far away when there's a problem you can't deal with. Medical is the closest field to people's life, so I think it will benefit the most. Even though science will benefit too, but not everyone is directly involved in science, compared to medical.

This thread has been around for a while but I never put much thought into it. I never posted because I wasn't too sure about this. Frankly I can't decide on exactly which field will benefit most but it would broadly be, the sciences.
From school-level experiments to preservation of archaeological finds and improving medical processes, enhancements in science will have the greatest or at least most positive effect on the sciences. Frog dissection could easily be replaced by simulated 3D programs. It's okay to cut up a corpse but killing a live frog seems a bit morbid and cruel to me. Also archaeological artifacts can be exploited to better extents. Medical sciences will heavily develop with new ways of researching on the human body. Perhaps I'm beating about the bush or not explaining my point thoroughly but I hope you guys understand what I mean

There is no thing more I can say with this topic as you can see that IT/technology contributes greatly into many fields. Its usefulness depends on how people use it.
