I think racism in sports has decreased because there is a certain basketball player who got jailed for sexually assaulting a girl and peole have shown more gratitude towards him than Martha Stewart, who is also going through another case trial(she isn't a basketball player);she is a white & people have shown less support for her yet they are both trialed.

I think Racism In Sports has increased over the past years because if you watch Hockey, most of the players are White while if you watch Basketball, most of the players are Black and if you have a look at the Canadian Cricket team most of the players are brown. So I think that Racism In Sports has increased over the past years.

Racism In Sports

I think that the level of racism in sports in still around but only like in some cases, because not everyone dought people for their skin colour, etc if they are playinga sport. Because the reason why someone is on an sports team whether they are playing for a country, school, etc they are on that team cause they are good at it. Not because of their skin colour, etc. But there might be people still out there thinking if you look like this or if you are of this culture then you can't play. And there isn't anything that we can do about that cause that's what they with, but to be a good person we can be some of those people who don't dought you for your skin colour, etc cause it doesn't matter.

in my opinion,a persons colour does not matter so much now especially if u are good at what you do basically iagree with sweetbaby. there are still cases of racist remarks and decisions though so WE still got work to do to reduce cases of racism in sports.

This might not be true but some time back (I am not sure of the year) when the World Cup for football was taking place, Senegal, an African country made it to the some stage but but it was beaten by Russia. Throughout the whole of Africa, there was excitement adn many believed that Senegal would win the Cup and be the first African country to become the champion. This shocked me because it seemed that for many years many African countries were cancelled out of the competition. This partly may be because of expe4rience and partly due to race.

I think that the Africans were cancelled in the champoinships because people are afraid that they might win and gain more rights, etc. Because people still are against others based on their race.

I think sports is one of the last places you'll find racism now-a-days. Integration occured rapidly once managers realized wat a vast talent pool the black community was.
And as for the fans, who cares the color of the players skin as long as he or she's helping the home team to win. As for sports like hockey and basketball, I think those are just products of white and black cultural distinctions, but in time those two will also become more mixed.
