[Poll] Volunteers

I think that every school should have a day where the whole school goes out into the community and help others. My school just did that today and I think that it's a good way to give kids a good reputation. Also, it'll be a great way to go outside and learn.

Its great to go out into the community and help the needy but this should not only be done for the sake of reputation. Helping the needy is something that is the responsibility of every human being and it should be done with unselfish intentions and that is when it becomes most effective.

Things like that should be done in schools - but schools aren't teaching kids the right things, we should be teaching them ethics, morals - things which will make them better people. I'd rather know people who were good, decent people who didn't know a lot. Than people with degrees and masters who are total b*stards. (pardon my language)

Volantrism Grad in the Shcool
August 24, 2004 - 06:40 AM

I agree with you my friends
and I have an Opinion about Volnteer activities I think we should put in Educational Systems from the Primary shcool tell Universty a Volateer activites to put in the children Maind How to serve them countries from the Volanteer activites.
I suggest also a if every student have a very Good Volaneer acitivies he must have some Grads add to his GPA
from that point I think every one will think about any goood activity and same time we let him serve his communty and the Grad wait for him if he will do the Best

b-krazy,

That is a very great idea. By doing so, they learn the practical way how to be useful to their communities. I wish if all of our schools would do the same.

I agree with you my pals from around the world that the students of universities especially in Africa should go out and volunter in their communities,it is a ne concept that will go a long way to promote partnership among students of different schools.

It is certainly true that most of students in africa do not recognise volunteering as it is not adquately covered in school curriculum. At the same time the we should vigorousily campaign for the introduction of such works in colleges, universities and so on though we have to be careful that it does not get interpreted for slavery by the authourity.
Good topic and keep it up all.
kebby
