I think people want to know the swear words in other languages because may be they can say it in front of a teacher when they are angry or mad , and their teacher wont have a clue what they said !

I think that people have some enemies that swear at them in their own language. People want to know swear words in the languages that the people call them swear words in so that they can swear back at them in their own language to surprise them. The other reson the want to learn is that when other students swear at them in their own language they can translate and tell the teacher what the other students are calling them.

Well, many times people will say "how do you say 'i love you' in spanish/etc."
its just not swear words.
actually forbidden fruit is sweet.. thats why learning swear words sounds more attractive? maybe. but i dont see any reason of you being sad about it.

I think people want to only hear the swear words because they want to get away with swearing and not get in trouble. Its obvious that people think it is funny when you called them something rude in a different language well they have no clue what it means. I think its just a faze. These little jokes won't seem funny when the people get older.

I have another thing to say. I think that people want to learn swear words in other languages because every other student knows the English swear words. So if they swear at the other students in some other language they can easily get away without the person knowing what the guy/girl just said.

I know alot of time when people want to learn about swearing words in other language. And i think a know the reason as to why.First is is fun, you got to admit learning a new language is fun, even though it is tiresome it is fun.Second is to learn is so they could swear to somebody without them knowing it.(but i never saw somebody that does that).Third is that they want to talk to somebody that speak a different language with the person's language.(did you understand that?)Fourth is that they want to make a poster that has different language on it.(NEVER see sombody that even TRIED that)

First off language courses and handbooks do not normally cover those words and the other would be that People really don't like to be cussed about in any language. The majority of people that I have noticed speaking in a foreign tongue usually seem to look around to see if any one else understands, as if they were telling a secret but if the people are laughing or acting in any way that could indacate that they are cussing You, You will wonder "were they cussing Me out?" You know how most people jump to what ever conclution that they think about themselves. A Friend, Gene

Perhaps because it gives them the feeling that they really know the language, because swear are normally only used by the local speakers.
