Helping those who need it.

This isn't really an entrepreneurial idea, but it does have to do with an idea that I'd like to put forth in my own business (whenever I actually get one). I think that it would be nice to give a homeless person a job maintaining the front of my store. I often see front areas of stores that aren't very inviting, and although it wouldn't be extrordinarily difficult to upkeep a store window, sidewalk, etc, many people don't do it. I think it is a good idea to give homeless people the opportunity to help maintain these areas in exchange for money (just a regular job....you work and get paid for it). Isn't it much better to give a person a job than to just give them change in the street? I mean giving someone a job helps their self-esteem and dignity much more than a simple handout. Would anyone be up to the task of emplying someone in need of a job? This might not be on a daily basis, maybe every third day. Maybe the person could work for several stores......is this a ridiculous idea or not?

I think that youth have an advantage with ideas and can actually be successful with an Entrepreneurial idea if given the right support.
I think that the stop signs that are put up while we are growing up, make us think that we can't do something or we are not allowed to do something.
This is not good.
Youth should be encouraged to believe in themselves and their ideas, as long as they are constructive and for the benefit of themselves and society.

If you have an idea and think it is good. You should share it with others and it will help you believe in it's reality. If you believe it can happen it very well could happen. You have to do it. No one will do it for you.

I agree with you that people should be giving help to people by offereing jobs. Paying a homeless person to maintain the outside appearence of your shop cant harm anyone. I think the jobless who are really struggling should start small with jobs such as i said above and then work there way up. Everyone has an oppurtunity that is what is so great about Americas Capitalist Economy, there are no limits.

I agree that doing charity work is very important for all citizens. If everyone did jus a few hours of charity than the world would be a much better place. But I find it difficult to find outlets for charity which make direct contributions to the poor. Is it better to directly give money to a homeless man you find on the street, or is it better to donate your money through a charity, which then helps the poor?
