Religion in Shopping

Why don't you see a lot of religious items in big malls? Why do you have to go to a place like Chinatown to buy an item related to Buddism? Shopping excludes a lot of religious perspectives. In shopping malls they only have the new trend clothing. Do you see clothing from religions? Not really, Right?

I agree with both of you. When we go to famous malls like Eaton Centre or even small malls, we don't really see clothing, items etc from other religions. We just see jeans, t-shirts etc. As you both said, we have to go to special malls or places to get clothing and items from different religions. For example, I have to go to Gerard Street to shop for Indian clothing and items. This is a very good topic to write about.

NO, you don't find any religious clothing in common malls like eaton centre. You always have to go to special places to find some clothing that are even religious. Like if you want to buy something that isn't even clothing, you have to go to places that are specialize in that place. For example: I had to go to this place to buy a bible.

I do not want to say the same thing again, But I have one thing to say, "DO NOT REPEAT THE SAME THREAD." I am saying this the third time.

I agree on you with the part that malls exclude religious items, but I disagree on the fact that you say SHOPPING excludes religious things because it's actually SHOPPING MALLS that exclude it. Take b-krazy's example. Buying a bible in a special location whether you like it or not, is still shopping. I guess you don't see a lot of religious items in big malls because the stores decide what to sell and they know that in a mall, people will most likely by the "in" stuff. Places like Chinatown specializes in items like Buddism because the Chinese believe in that religion, so they sell those items.

that is true. Whenever i go around shopping i dont see many stores with clothing for other religions. Mostly only clothes that go with "trends" people should be able to find clothes that go with there culture and not have to look around for so long only to be surrounded by trend clothes
