[Poll] Why Do We Get Sooo Much Homework???

HEY, Teacher! Just because you can't cover everything in class, doesn't mean that you can make me do work at home, where i'm supposed to be able to have my own free time! Plus, this month, I've had at least 2 1/2 hours of homework, IN GRADE 7!!!

My vote goes 2 ye, cuz when i was in my early school days, I got a bulk of home work 2 do..........and me, inspite of being a brilliant student all through my academic career, just hated it........an undue burden on innocent kids

I think today's education standards are just flat out ridiculous. They expect us kids, to be doing these research projects, on a weekly basis, and quiz us the night after? I can gurantee that when these teachers were kids, they complained about homework, and in a hypocritical turn, they dump a whole load of homework on us.
I think the board should just ease up on us. Were just kids, we can't do everything, regardless of the technology were given. Every night, we slave ourselves over all the homework we get, we may as well stay at home. Mainly the only reason we want to go home, is relax, and lay off for the rest of the night, but instead, we go home, and do the exact same thing we do at school, just with less help. I think all this is ridiculous.

homework stinks i mean we have homework for over the break man this is so unfair we haveto right a rough draft of a speech and i have tons of other stuff to do like my paper root 3 nights a week and then add in homework!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

homework could be good sometimes and if the teacher can't teach everything u should learn it urself i got alot of homework too but we still have to finish them. homework shows the understanding of wat you learn it to expand ur knowledge nad by the time you get to high school it's going to be harder ....

Some people complain about too much homeworks and they don't even bother to do their homework even if it's very little! *ahem* *cooleo* I also have paper route to do and I do way more house than you and I always finish my homework. Also teachers don't care if you have paper route of something because it's your responsibility.

Sometimes, its not how much they give you , but what they except you to do. Perhaps the reason you can't handle it is because you don't pay attention in class, and then it takes longer for you to finish. But if they expect you to do 3 research projects in one night. That I would say is a bit extreme. But teachers, if you do see some kids are having some trouble, then atleast try to help them understand in class, and have a bit of one on one time.
