[Poll] IQ scores as an indicator of economic prosperity.

I have just read an article which states that "national differences in wealth are explained most importantly by the intelligence levels of the populations". (www.vdare.com/misc/rushton_iq.htm)
Interesting application of IQ testing.
Is there any merit to this arguement?
Can one compare the IQ scores of different nations? ie. Does one IQ measure exist that can validly measure IQ, taking into consideration cultural and lannguage difference?
I suspect not. Most IQ measures are developed by the Western world for measurement of white middle class English speaking people, often relevant only to those who have yr 8 education (ie can read and write). [for the psychometricians among us, Ravens Progressive Matricies is one example of a universal symbol based assessment of ability - IQ? -. Are there others?
Can National Wealth be measured by IQ?

- Yes, intelligence, education, and knowledge do play a major part in econic development, but this is quite different from the result of an Intelligent Quotient.

- Is that it??!

- Hmmm. I wonder what this is trying to suggest. Could it be:
Japanese etc = genius
White = clever
Arab/Indian etc = not clever
S. Chinese etc = even less clever
Nations with strong Black influence = almost stupid
Blacks = idiots?
And the hypocrisy:

- Is Singapore not in SE Asia?

- So, this must also mean that economic differences now are the same as has always been. Interesting. That means European countries were always rich and technologically advanced, which, as anyone with any degree of knowledge can realise, is bullshit!
India was never rich? Arab world was never rich before oil?
Fuck it, with the exception of Australasia, if you're from the southern hemisphere (or even near it), you have no chance of succeeding in life as you are stupid!

LOL. Good thing people mostly forgot about my posts on IQ. AS they were not ment to insult. But people did not get what i was actually trying to say. I assume it is same in this case.
