Women in the workplace
April 23, 2001 - 09:11 AM

Hi!
Does anyone feel that gender is still a big issue in the workplace? Does anyone feel discriminated against? Or are there people that don't feel it at all in their workplace?
I work in an office that usually has far more men than women, and I've never really seen it as a big issue. peopl here are paid according to the work they do, not the way they were born.

Changes
April 27, 2001 - 12:00 PM

The only changes that have happened with women in the workforce are those changes that the women themselves have made for themselves. It is a struggle for women in the workforce when they are faced with the challenge of starting a family. Many women find it very difficult to keep a competative edge in the workforce when juggling with family. Something has to suffer. Women have a biological committment to family and once that committment is made it changes her life.
