Constitutions

At this point in time its probably growing irrelevant to discuss whether or not the War on Iraq should have happened or not. However the next interesting developement is the adoption of a constitution. So I'm wondering what you think the Iraqi constitution should look like, while ignoring what the "real world" governments think it should look like. What sort of rights are important in this case. Should it be entrenched, or open to change once the region has settled down. How much economic control should be displayed by the government. How should it be organized?
My second question is on similar lines, Iraq is a difficult nation to size for a constitution. Say that you had an ideal nation, one with western values already inplace, what would be in your ideal constitution?

Good post!
Before all, all people should have their rights GUARANTEED !!! not just mentioned.
50 % of all seats must be preserved for women.
Voting rights for all over 18 years of age.
Popular vote by European way.
1 % of votes for a party for 1 seat in an 100 seat parliament.
Presidential democracy in place.
Religious freedom - freedom to change it as well.
No capitol punishment.
Free speech, all sorts of freedoms.
Iraq must be confederal - for all three groups to enjoy a bit of independance - especially kurds.
IRAQI ASSETS FOR IRAQI ONLY ! Not for ARAMCO, ESSO & TEXACO
About my dream constitution?
A Futurist constitution is a dream one for me.. why??
Not as it would be any better than others, but as it is ALIVE, and it can be changed on two-weekly basis on popular vote votings. Everything can be voted upon, but not human rights - to preserve them from peoples whim.
Thats it. Thank you for asking for my ideas as i had them in my head and wanted ot get them out.
Ave Futuria
