The Passion. Anti Semitic?

I saw the Passion of Christ last night and I cant belive that some people would claim it is Anti-Semitic.
It portrays the Jews as being split over their opinion of Christ with the High Priests feeling threatened by him.
On the other hand it shows the Roman soldiers to be brutal, barbaric, Christ beaters/abusers. Should Italian community leaders instead call the film anti-Italian, as some Jewish community leaders have called the film anti-Semetic. For Gods sake, JESUS WAS A JEW!
The film is as "anti-Semitic", if not less than the New Testament itself! If the accusations of anti-Semetism have been brought about by the sudden slogans and attitudes of certain Christian groups towards Jews since the film, I can only assume that these so-called Christians don't really know their religion and didn't quite understand the film either. In this aspect, I can see why some Jew's are annoyed. However you can't blame the film for this!

I find this movie remarkable, but some people in our communities are blinded with the love for their race, religion and etc so they are bound to
see something negative in anything, which they pre-judge negative for their religion, race or culture.

I believe that Passion Of The Christ is a great movie, and it is just an opinion of Mel Gibson so I have no idea why Jewish people are taking it so personal.
