Sometimes I think people who are well off in modernized countries think that if they could make it then anyone can so that homeless man on the street doesn't deserve to be helped whereas in third world countries its a known fact that its a hard life so people sympathize more. I am not saying it's right; I just think that may be the logic behind it.

It is very pathetic to live in a world that have been made to be believed by many that it will continue to have no peace just because there are different morals, beliefs, values, cultures, taste, preferences, interest, race, language and so on. Obviously the only solution is for the world to be completely overhauled, and a new society, whether through divine manifestation as the Bible says; an evolutionary process or through the mass revolution of institutions that are obsolete to human development, to emerge.

Otherwise the world will continuous to be a class society.

If 5% of the people in the world would work for peace, there will be peace.

As i think peace is possible but we have a long time to wait . There is large number of dispute all across the world such as disagreement among nations on various issues, difference in religion and their follower and between rich and poor . Difference and dis accord among various issues on various mater is the basic cause of despise . Until the people understand the every issue with all views there will be a disagreement . peace is process in which everyone is satisfy with other views or at least make a compromise and until we cannot indulge these type of understanding in the coming generation we cannot expect a peace environment.
As we all see the issue of construction of mosque on ground zero .Yet there are group of People's who criticize obama for is view and don want to understand his position .Until all people's doesn't become such a wide view we can't expect about a way that leads us to the peace . Peace is something that is inside your behavior no one can incorporate in inside u . U can learn it like an intellectual old man who is very calm and serene in his behavior and understand everyone's view .That why our parent say that u must learn from other's experiences because our life's is very less to gain those experience and peace is one of them.

I wouldn't ask if peace is really possible... I would rather ask if some positive changes are possible and how they can be achieved... peace is maybe possible only if we make some little changes around us...in our families, our schools, our communities...step by step..

Is Peace possible?! Who would have guessed it, but Peace is in the middle east!

Egypt, Tunisia, and the spreading Jasmine Revolution has shown us all the peaceful protest can conquer unjust dictators and bring dignity back to the human population. I hope that the current violence in Libya can be replaced with the massive peaceful protests that had such a resounding effect in Egypt. I want to express solidarity with my human brothers and sisters all around the world, and congratulate those in the middle east on this historic victory.

In my opinion, i think peace is really difficult to achieve nowadays, it would need a LOT of cooperation from all the people in the world, and if it happened, it wouldn't last a lot..sad, but very possible.smile

I think a good place to start with is the individual goal of inner peace. Only when we are at peace with ourselves can we fully engage fearlessly with the world. The challenges we face demand that we wage peace as fervently as the drive to war.

Last year, the Harper administration invested 18 billion dollars of Canadian Tax payers money in fighter jets instead of worthwhile social projects around the country or the Millennium Development Goals. This could be a wedge issue in the upcoming election.

Another concept I've been thinking about recently is how the military represents itself to the general public through the media. In the world of movies and public service announcements, images of war are sometimes imbued with tones of patriotism, valor and honor, when the realities of war and the aftermath are typically ignored. Here there seems to be an opportunity for a cultural assault upon the military industrial complex.
