I have absolutely nothing to say about those two religions. I have lots to say and explain about system Futurism and that topics should be kept very much alive. Better than to talk old is to talk something fresh.

You did like Porky or whoever insulted Islam...
Isn't Christianity a respectable religion just like Islam and Juddism???
I'm sorry,I was totally against this port you had posted and my participation in it is but out of declaring that I'm agianst that insultation to any religion, and not because i wanna discuss that...

I've been blasted for my Christian views here a few times. Granted it didn't get that bad. People seem to take religion very personally. These are "discussion" boards not "disassemble and disprove religion" boards. Right?

I'm sorry that I did not notice this earlier. Usually when a forum is closed, a reason is provided why it was closed. It has nothing to do with our bias towards any religion. Porky and 123XYZ have nothing to do with TIG and are not affiliated with us in any way. They are users who express their own insights.
The forum was likely closed because it was either totally unconstructive, or became off topic. In fact, it was likely closed because insults were just flying back and fourth. We can't monitor the forums all day, but if something comes to our attention, we may close a forum before any further discourse occurs. If you feel that it was not just to close the forum, I invite you to email discuss@takingitglobal.org, clearly expressing your objection as well as a link to the fourm.
Regards,
Hugh

Well, to my mind, it shouldn’t have been closed; I am against closing any thread criticizing Islam too. Number of times it happened in the beginning they closed the threads started by Mughal and other friends criticizing Islam. In my view no one can make a “right” wrong and a “wrong” right. We must develop our reasoning skills; TIG is a wonderful opportunity for this. I as a Muslim was ignorant of many issues re Islam but when they criticized, I studied to answer then and let them know the original interpretation, this way I learnt great deal about Islam.
There are certain principles when kept in mind while discussing any topic, I think there shouldn’t be any problem then.

Well my dear friends Omar and Brian, You had broached a vital point in this discussion. But my outlook is, is it constructive to converse about blemishes and
flaws of religions with the actuality that people would never disposed to accept it.
Well in her point, Yara is correct, Its immoral to slight any particular religion but liberty should be there for the criticism.
Very fascinating indeed!

Folks;
The thread is not closed. It was closed for a very short period of time because we had recieved some comments about the board it was placed in, not the content of the article. It has been moved to the spirituality section and it is open for comment.
I hope this clears it up...
Thanks,
Brian

I would disagree that only Islam is critisized on TIG, there have been a great deal of anti-jewish sentiment as well as anti christian sentiment. The posts in question provoked discussions that became more and more extreme, however the people defending christianity, from my perspective, where arguing about the rhetoric not the objections to a religion. I would support anyones right to believe whatever they want - especially as I dont really have faith in a specific sense - and would defend Islam, christianity, judeaism, buddhism, Zen, wicca, zoroastianism, mithraiscism, hellenisism, etc. With that in mind I dont think the posts by Porky and 123XYZ were in the realm of discussion they were proseltyzing and insulting.

Islam---Christianity----Judisum were all one and the same for approx. 1,500 years. Then Abrahaum gave a birthright away----the beginning of the split Judisum/Islam---- the 2,000 years ago Jesus came and after his death Christianity / Judisum split.
All have one and the same GOD only different prophets, history and customs.
Why all the problems of who is right or wrong----------
Even the Jews/Christians and muslims have split into many different groyups that worship in different ways and have different customs.
