Idea for new group on mental health!

Hey there everyone!
I was just thinking, it would be great if there was a group on TIG which aimed at giving support to youth around the world who have been affected in some way or another with a mental health problem (eg. depression, anxiety, eating disorders, anything related to mental health). This could mean that you were/are suffering from the disorder or you knew someone who was/is. The aim of the group would be to share our problems and stories, and inspire and give advice and support to one another.
I know that mental health problems are extremely common among young people and i believe they should not feel ashamed or alone, and should have access to support and feedback from others who have experienced similar problems. I for one am only just turning 16 and have already experienced various mental health related problems, (i.e. depression, anorexia, social phobia) and i would love to help out and listen to anyone else with a problem relating to mental illness.
So basically, i just wanted all your opinions on whether i should start up a TIG support group for youth on mental health disorders and problems? Would anyone be interested? I'd really like to help, so please tell me soon! Thanks heaps guys

If i have certain problem with myself i loose it instantly if somebody else asks me to help him with his problem solving. Are you having same approach?
This right here is a thing to think about. Helping others gains you free personal problem solution.

Great idea
i think that is a really good idea, because a lot of people aren't aware of how common mental health problems are, and as soon as you mention mental health problems, they instantly think of well known 'illnesses' like schizophrenia & don't really think of things like mild depression, which i'm sure everyone has encountered

Excellent! Thanks so much for your encouragement guys, it's very motivating! I will go and set up a 'group' on it then, or would it be a 'project'? DOes anyone know the difference, and is one more appropriate than the other, in this case? Thanks guys

I am up for it.
My main lack is time.
Will it be time consuming and will it demand my complete attention 24/7 whole year?
If so then no, if not then count me in.
I do similar assistance in daily life, but not mental. Lets say i wont be a complete beginner. (LOL)

for long i have wished that tig as a forum for youths be more specialised. i know that there are country sites and all that but there is room for more specialization. such ideas are great and the conserned technical bech i hope is taking note. we can have special forums for special people. a forum for the psyche guestions can help alot.

I have long personal (not professional) experience in this area of life. I'd like to help too if I could.
