General view about AIDS in my community

Though most people think that the issue of AIDS is now a known issue most people in my local community still do not believe its existence neither do they believew its lethality.Most times when i want to let them know of its sevrrity especially in Western Africa,they turn a deaf ear.I want to help but i dont know what else to do

What community are you in, if you don't mind my asking? It's hard sometimes to know where to start in terms of promoting AIDS awareness and education but I'm sure there are lots of resources available on the internet that you can use to teach people about the severity of the situation... even if they don't believe you at first, providing evidence will help to convince people that it's a real problem, it exists and it's not just going to go away!
