IS ETHNIC HATRED JUSTIFIED?

How would you feel if someone thought you as devious, violent, stupid, or immoral simply because you belong to a certain ethnic group? Surely, you would resent it. Unfortunately, this has been the experience for many people. Throughout history, countless innocent people have been abused and even murdered merely because of their race or nationality. Indeed most of the on going bloody conflicts have roots going down to ethnicity and hatred
Have you ever been a victim of ethnic hatred? Some people have, either directly or indirectly, for those who have not experienced it at all, I would say lucky you but please make sure that you do not vent it on somebody because what goes around comes around

Nothing justifies ethnic hatred. Nothing. It is stupid.

When I was a freshman, I had a friend who I had known since elementary school. She was African American, and I am Anglo-Saxon. I remember never getting into the subject of racism with her, and our relationship was that of two normal highschool teens. One day, however, she decided to join the African American club at our school. I supported this full-through, because, after all, she is an African American. After the first meeting, I called her to see how it went. She said she was busy and that I should talk to her at school instead. So, the next day I asked the question again, and she turned to me and said "Why would you care? Whites don't care about Blacks, I can't believe I ever let you be my friend after what you did to my ancestors."...I just stood there, trying to tell her with my eyes how stupid and ignorant she sounded. This was a teen in Highschool, and after one meeting, her opinion totally flipped and I became the enemy. The club was by no means saying that Whites are the enemy... I guess she was just misinterpereting the lesson. I guess, for her, it was only skin deep.

Ethnic hatred is not an option for anybody. I don't know why people are classifying themselves. Everyone is the same in this world. We all have the same body appearances. It is not wise to classify someone simply because of their color of the skin.

The girl who went to the meeting definitely needs to quit the club (no offence to the friend or the user who told us of the story). Yes, racism was rampant in the early history of the US, but this chapter of history is over, and people of all races are living in harmony, more or less, in America.
It is not OK for an African American to hold grudges against a Caucasian simply because of the misdeeds their ancestors have done. Descendents have no way to change history. Nor do they have a choice as to which color group they want to be in. Let bygones be bygones and work towards an age of equality.

ethnic hatred is never justified and it confuses me why people make judgements about other people because of their skin color, or their language or their accent.
I myself find all of the above extremely interesting and would want to get to know them.

I have an example: I hate when people see a Mexican person and make a comment about how that person is poor and illiterate because they are Mexican. Or some makes fun of an Asian person because of the shape of their eyes, they make the stupid comment like "How can you see when your eyes are SO slanted?!" I really hate that, and I feel people have ABSOLUTLY NO REASON to speak about others in such a way. How can you make rude comments about someone's culture, skin and so on when you don't even know anything about them?

Simple!
By making ppl aware of not having opinions about others. It is opinions of people that normally cause problems.
Everyone seems to have enough time to express how he does not like this or that person. That is just wrong.

I am not hating anybody.
Not that i would be any different than majority but because i am BUSY. I have duties to fulfill daily and that takes lots of my time. At least 8 hours every day (yes ,sundays too). If everybody wolud be doing same we would not have any problems in world today.
Keep people busy and not allow them to meddle with one another. Prevent all opinions.

I just hate it and feel it is unfair when people make generalizations about another person's race or religion! It confuses me that people believe generalizations more than their own personal experiences.
