Thanks Tunisian Youth Caucus,
I would argue that Tunis 2005 is about the greatest opportunity for Africa's youth to stand up to be counted.
We've mostly met at meetings outside our continent but I think that Tunis 2005 provides the opportunity for us to meet on our own soil. But what is more important is not that we meet, but that we meet to exchange notes, compare efforts and synergise!

I am deeply amazed at how many African youth-led projects do the SAME things. I'm also aware of many networks that seek to bridge this gap. permit me to mention, AYI, ARYI, AYA, AYP, etc, etc as examples.

I think Tunis 2005 would be great time or us to plan to sit together to harmonise content, solidify structures and emphasize cooperation.

I would love to advocate that we take advatage of the WSIS Youth Africa mailing list, and possibly led by the Tunisian Youth Caucus (our hosts), communicate about every topic that will lead to the success of our oint efforts.

We know the reality of our continent - many would rather choose food over access to communication; multitudes die before you finish reading a line of text - wars, famine, and more.

Shall we sit and watch these thoings happen and pretend that summits can help? No, and declarations wont! I believe that its high time Africas youth would take the bull by the horn and take APPROPRIATE ACTION to rectify tha ailing conditions we see on our streets daily!

My people, Tunis 2005 may once again be to the African youth what the silent congresses (that led to most independence efforts in Africa) meant to the last generation that ended up as our founding fathers who led us into independence.

Shall we build on the WSIS Youth Africa platform to communicate? Shall the Tunis Youth Caucus coordinator (with help from us all) lead us to the promised land?

I'm African. I believe in the Africa of our dreams... BUT I also believe that we cannot keep watching and expect things to change. Viva Africa!

What you said is really ...real
It's the best chance for africa to move and to be better !

Until now, I think that it's not included yet a youth caucus in Tunis 2005. There is not even a coordiantor. But we are doing our best to make it happens.

Yes we need to be more linked as young africans to show results in 2005 and not projects. Think about it
