Do think video games contribute to the violent behavior of today's youth?

Yes I do believe that video game violence contributes to the wildness of children because if the do not see it as they are playing a game they most likely do not have a source to reference to and therefor will not know how to do it.

I do not believe that video games contribute to youth violence. If anything, they act as pacifier to youth violence- a way to blow off steam. Most kids will know the difference between video violence and real violence. Video games are often blamed for horrific things that teens do. For example, the Columbine shooting was blamed on video games. Why would just two kids commit these acts because of a video games and not the other tens of thousands that played the same game? There were likely many other factors that contributed to this tragedy. Video games are meant to be release from the real world where one can do things that cannot normally be done.
