A Big Project
Sep 13, 2012
|
|
A Big Project is working to change the world in a big way - and we need your help! We've already
heard from people in over 86 countries, and I hope you'll add your voice to the list. A Big Project
will work with artists of all kinds from around the world to launch a global renaissance of art and
music to express how our visions connect.
Fill in this great survey to share your vision for
a better world!
Let's discuss these questions more in depth below!
1. If the world as it currently exists were to radically shift tomorrow, and we had the opportunity
to recreate the world, what would you NOT want to continue from this world?
2. What WOULD you want to continue from this world?
3. What would people need to do differently now to get to that better world?
4. What is one thing you will commit to doing differently now to get to that better world?

1. WMDs ....all of it taken somewhere ‘far far away’ in the universe and then 'poof'...all of it
gone forever...
Because of the current turmoil in the world being attributed to fundamentalism and religious
extremism, the option of chucking out 'religion' itself also sounds tempting...but I believe faith
itself is not the issue...If we can ban religion/faith based public activities then yes, it would be
a great step forward. Most people can go about their tasks and lives without blowing themselves up
to defend their religious sentiments as they keep their faith and beliefs to themselves and for
their own personal satisfaction and inspiration.
2. I agree with Prieten here
- a better United Nations system - the closest we have to the 'One World, One Nation' concept is the
hope that United Nations will get better as we go...United Nations minus the polarized P5 system
though...
3. Shun violence as means of achieving peace! It is the most absurd idea that violence can ever lead
to peace...Violence begets Violence...it is a vicious cycle...
I know 'people' don't want violence...everyone wants peace and that vested interests play on
sentiments to provoke violence...Yet, ideally this is what I need people to realise and
change...Collectively, we underestimate the power of ‘Ahimsa’ and ‘Satyagraha’... To
practice the two requires a lot of self belief and understanding.
4. Now on, I commit to ‘Ahimsa’ at all costs! ( Except, when it comes to rapists, molesters,
paedophiles, and the like....I strictly believe in condemning such people to complete isolation from
all things living or simply execution!)
I also commit to be aware of myself, my actions, their consequences, and of my surroundings as well
(which includes being aware of happenings in the rest of the planet, culture, environment, etc).
