Money is a large part of the problem as far as education goes. I'm not sure how the uneducated learn; maybe they don't. But everyone has a right to education, and that's something that TIG does- it educates those online, and organizes groups to help those who can't help themselves.

I completely agree with Haley. Everyone has the right to education, but unfortunately, not everyone has the means to access it.

I see a big and sad problem with this question. The words "less privileged" are not supposed to be heard in the 21st century. If some people are recognized and distinguished as Less Privileged", then, the rulers of the appropriate nation/country shall be responsible for having such distinction and discrimination. Actually, if a country is to be under UN sanctions is the country that such discrimination is seen.

On the other-hand, there is a big hypocrisy. Most constitutions (of countries) state that education up to a certain level is free for all people but simply rulers do not supply the required resources and money for education.

There is an old expression which says: establishing and opening of a school will eventually lead to closing of a jail.
Most prisoners for crime and robbery have had less chance of acquiring education.

What kind of a thread is this? Of course they do. Everyone deserves education. In order for a nation to succeed, it needs a large and skilled labor force. That kind of a labor force cannot come entirely from the upper classes. The world is moving forward and manual labor is no longer in demand.

Evry1 agrees dat d less priveledge has a right 2 education. Looking at d world at large, there is a great disperity between d rich and d poor. The poor in most of our african countries r classified as less priviledge people, people who dont deserve 2 go 2 school and roam d streets because of money and nothing, absolutely nothing is done about it..

We all deserve Education. For rich people, education is easy. For less privilege, more education must be given. Poverty is not hindrance, though, to acquire it must have the possible alternatives. One example is the EFA or the Education For All, physically handicapped, racial minorities and many more do have their right to education. Quality education is needed to those less privilege not only because of micro needs but the macro itself whose target is the education quality-economic development and certain aspects in the country. Education should be pushed through not only to those elite families but also to those less privilege ones.smile

Yes, absolutely. I feel every individual has the right to education. Right to education is our constitutional right. Therefore, every individual should be given education.

If we are referring people with limited financials as 'less privileged' then I would say of-course they have the right to get better education so that they can pull themselves out of this financial deprivation with good education followed by a good job. In case these people cannot afford to got to school, then the Government or ruler of such county should be responsible for the better education of these kids.

Everybody has a right to an education. People may not have the resources right off for an education, but I believe anything, education included, can be gained through hard work.
