Youth in Africa passionate about sport, fitness and health are invited to submit entries to the Youth Fit Africa writing & photo competition. Whether you play, coach, or train in basketball, football, netball or tennis, if you run, swim, or go to the gym, ANY kind of sport or fitness activity, we want to hear from you! Share your stories, ideas and photos with others across the continent on this new youth focused website.

We’re accepting submissions in 3 categories.
1. My Story
Tell us about you, what motivates you, your sport and why you love it, your challenges and how you have overcome them, achievements, and your hopes for the future. Be descriptive and tell a great story. Include a picture of you in action if possible. (600-800 words)
2. Readers Fitness
Tell us the story of how train for a specific aspect of your sport, the exercises you do, maybe to make you faster or jump higher, spinning or aerobics classes, weight train for swimming, etc. Any kind of fitness and training. (600-800 words) Include 6-10 specific tips based on what you have learned. Include a picture if possible

3. Action Shots
Do you have a perfectly timed action shot, taken of you or by you, a picture worth a thousand words showing the joy of a game well played, the sweat of determined training, the agony of defeat? Send us your photos for our featured photo section. Tell us about the photo - where was it taken, what happened, who is in the picture, and how did you get the perfect shot?
