Biopiracy! Indian gov. pressing charges against Monsanto

Hey everyone!
Aljazeera has posted an in-depth video and article on biopiracy, looking specifically at the situation with the Indian government preparing to press charges against Monsanto for using indigenous farming techniques to create a genetically altered eggplant.
What do you think of biopiracy? Do the benefits of hardy, genetically altered crops outweigh the potentially negative implacts on biodiversity and community well-being?
