The Impossible Dream Is Now Possible.

Those who are familiar with title song of the musical The Impossible Dream will know what I'm talking about.
The hero of the 17th Century story realizes that his dream is impossible, because the story took place during the Spanish Inquisition, a time of Dark Age persecution, oppression and cruelty imposed by a supposedly "Christian Church."
Well, even though a lot of Christians think that the Renaissance and the Protestant Reformation actually reformed the Christian Church, it did not, at least not enough.
In the 1600s and 1700s "religious" persecution and oppression continued in Europe and in America, which is why America's Founding Fathers like Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Thomas Paine, Benjamin Franklin and others spoke out against it, and they demanded freedom of religion, and freedom from theocratic rule.
Now, and increasingly since 1981 in America, a "New Inquisition" has been gathering steam, instigated by the "religious right," which claims to be Christian but really isn't.
Fortunately, the Impossible Dream is no longer impossible. Even though the American people are totally ruled by the wealthiest few, the people have lots of religious and constitutional truths on their side, and they can rid themselves of the aristocratic and theocratic plague and establish government that is actually of, by and for the people
