Gadaffi's Death: Does this translate to the death of the vision for United Africa?

Don't Mistake me there is no love lost between me and The former Libyan President and "dictator" as it is said, I tend to avoid to take sides on this account as after all what do I know other than what we are made to know. Yet as the saying Kiswahili saying goes "Mgala Muue na Haki Umpe" meaning despite how bad one does deserve to die you can kill them but yet give them the praise they deserve. As indifferent as I may be about the famous or infamous however you want to refer to the man I have to admit there is one thing I tend to agree with him and I got to congratulate him for: the need for an united Africa. I don’t know his motivation and maybe I would highly disagree with them but it is one thing that I appreciate about him. His courage and outspoken nature about the need for the same. I tend to believe we have been blinded so much with each country‘s need for power and here it is not about the citizens but leaders who believe that when such an organisation is formed they will relinquish power that we fail to appreciate the economies of scale that we fail to enjoy every moment we are independent countries. One thing that as Africans we need to appreciate is that we are far off being self sustaining in most economies yet as a united Africa we have the ability of becoming a super power.
I am wondering is there any other leader in Africa who has the ability to see beyond his personal kingdom and sovereignty and ready to push the agenda of a united Africa?. Do we have visionaries who are ready to appreciate the need for unity and pooling of resources? Some people argue that His ousting of power had something to do with this, yes or no I don’t care and I am not in position to take a stand as only Libyans have the ability to tell who Gadaffi was, all I know is what we been led to believe and believe both quarters have pretty convincing arguments. When those who love him mourn I will mourn the possibility of the Death of the Vision. I really hope this is not the death of the dream.

in my own opinion, Gadaffi coild hv being able to pursue this dream as an elder stateman....
My concern is simple, why should he allow this level of collateral damage to befall his nation where as he had all it takes to stop it when these mess begun. Anyway...i am a fan of united states of Africa without likes of Gaddafi. This big agenda can only be achieved through good instructional and well funded education. Charity begins at home.....
