My sister is working on research of New York State University. She have some printed copy of the research, anybody can suggest me how she can make it editable format like MS word??

She will need a scanner machine that will scan the document into a computer file. Sometimes if the document has too much strange formatting, it won't scan properly into a .doc file. You can try scanning into a PDF file format and then do the old "highlight, click, copy" the text she wants and then paste it to a .doc type file.
I hope this helps. Sometimes, original documents have already been scanned into the Internet somewhere. If she can find hers, she can just copy and paste from there.
