For a Better World!!

My fight continues with these folks [see discussion - What is ethics, fairness, justice, constructive thinking!]. They have restored to their favorite tactic – using anger. So now as I perform my daily duties, I get annoyed and angry easily and quickly. So much so that they are warning me never to……..Drive….or else I will end up ….Dead! Of course not in words but it is implied in more ways than one…..
One of the great arguments they use against us is that they do what they do in the greater interest. I think that is the biggest lie ever told. They are a “accumulation of bad and worst practices” and they wreck massive destruction in a society from within – any society.
Now let us evaluate why I make this statement.
How do we create value – be it for society, community, country? By being productive, by being resourceful, by being motivated, and inspired. We create value through hardwork, through initiatives, through responsibility. Are these not the metrics that is used to measure performance or has the world become too “smart” for that?
Look at our government offices and other institutes? They epitomize inefficiency. We have backlogs of pending applications that stretches back to years. We lack any system to sort through any of this pile of files. Is that not important? Forget climate change now! If that is too abstract – this than is something we can all relate with. These are things we have all suffered through.
Cont'd......

Yet these issues do not concern them. They still harass us – despite the fact that we have a 14 – 18 hr day schedule. They still ask us for “cost (sacrifices)”….. so we can work in peace? How come? While they hardly work three hours productively per day. How come? We get tired, we get frustrated more easily because we work….but they do not. Now, are we to work and feel like it is a punishment. They call that a system…..Well! that explains the lethargy in these government offices.
Which brings me back to my first question – who is working for the greater good? And how?
Well…we work hard and they are providing us the “energy” or so they claim. So they harass us because they do not feel good. Obviously not! At least that amount of human dignity still exists. We still value hard work. So now they blame us for their “bad emotions.” And so they decide to take action and show “ambition” and “drive” by harassing us. You see – what they are implying is that they still have the drive – the ambition – and they will not be outdone by us. In essence they start this “giving game.” Now – they feel scared, they feel small, now they will start eating, they will say not to question, to follow blindly, they will say “smile” even if the other party is wrong – you know they start “making” like this and they “make” lot of these “systems”. That is why our institutes, our public offices are riddled with corruption. Because they make these types of systems. So now we likewise have to do the same or else we become the “balls”….so now we have to be careful – of our words, of our actions, of our emotions. They are playing on our job security. They are cool as cucumber…while we are wired and tense as a violin wire.
No! here is where we say No. They have followed a destructive path and this is one of the root causes of why our institutions are so inefficient and unproductive and steeped in office politics. They are playing “giving game” –….and what does that translate into – inefficiency, unproductivity, lethargy – because if you work you will get frustrated. You are too preoccupied with work and constructive thinking – while they go about playing their game – on you – with no problems because the institutes have become them. They have taken over our institute and should their self interest be threatened in any way, they will resort to anything regardless of what the “long run” consequences are. After all they look out for their system – and look at their systems. It is that of corruption, communalism, racism, self interest and greed.
Life is sweet for them…but not so for the community – for the masses – for the people whose hopes, dreams, aspirations, security are locked up because these “so called” greater good folks lack the scruples and ethics to do what they get paid for. So we as a Nation suffer. Make no mistake. Their’s is the dagger that cuts from inside….and the worst part – they know all this.
So….I again pose the question – who is working for the greater good and how?
By the way – they would call this sort of transparency and communication – treachery, blasphemy, no character, no “sacrifice”……well if this issue is still confusing for you, if you still question who is right and who is wrong?………………………..God Help Us All!

Wangchuck,
I hear your despair! Can Anna Harare change the situation? Is he fighting (doing hunger strikes) against only corruption or also useless bureaucracy? He sounds like a fantastic guy who deserves the Nobel Prize.
