Hello Grand Inquisitor,

I think, you raise several important questions. I can't be certain, but there is a possibility that Putin and Medvedev may be playing a smart game, constructing a false impression of political rivalry. After all, they've been allies for far too long.

By depicting Medvedev a liberal guy and Putin a tough guy, the tandem can appeal to the views of both the West (through Medvedev) and the local nationalists (through Putin). It is quite a possibility.

In addition, it is important to remember that I wrote this article based on British media. I was careful to point out that that all these backstage rivalry and talks exist, according to British media. There is no indication where the Brits got these quotes. All the quotes come from unnamed sources.

As someone who knows the propagandistic nature of the Western media establishment, you should know what I am talking about. ;-)

Thanks for your commentary.
