Now Accepting 2013 Applications for the Rotary Peace Fellowship!

The Rotary Foundation is now accepting applications for the world-competitive Rotary Peace
Fellowship. The fellowship provides academic and practical training to prepare scholars for
leadership roles in solving conflicts around the world.
Up to 110 fellows are selected every year in a globally competitive process based on personal,
academic, and professional achievements. Fellows earn a master’s-level degree or a professional
development certificate in peace and conflict studies at one of six Rotary Peace Centers at leading
universities in Australia, England, Sweden, Japan, the United States and Thailand.
Master’s Degree Option
• “Building the leaders of tomorrow”
• 15-24 months of Rotary-funded graduate study toward a master’s degree at one of our five
Rotary Centers
• Training in the root causes of conflict, theories of international relations, and effective
models of cooperation, conflict resolution, and negotiation including course work and applied field
experience
• A growing network of committed alumni employed around the world in diplomacy, government,
non-governmental organizations and private corporations.
Professional Certificate Option
• “Strengthening the leaders of today”
• 3 month professional development certificate program
• Designed specifically for candidates already working in the field of peace and conflict studies
to further their understanding of conflict resolution
• Theoretical foundational knowledge during 8 weeks in the classroom and practical experience
during 2-3 week on site fieldwork
Both programs require, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree in a related field; 3 years of relevant
work experience and proficiency in a 2nd language for the MA program and 5 years for the
professional development certificate and proficiency in English.
The 2013 Academic term deadline is 1 July 2012. Applications are available at:

requirements for each center.
All Rotary Peace Fellowship applications need the endorsement of your local Rotary district. You can
find your nearest local Rotary Club by using the Club Locator tool on the Rotary International web

Se reciben solicitudes de Becas de Rotary pro Paz
La Fundación Rotaria acepta ahora solicitudes de Becas de Rotary pro Paz. Estas becas ofrecen
estudios académicos y capacitación práctica, a efectos de preparar a los becarios para
desempeñar funciones de liderazgo en el terreno de la resolución de conflictos en el mundo.
Se selecciona un máximo de 110 becarios cada año, a través de un concurso mundial basado en
méritos personales, académicos y profesionales. Los becarios pueden obtener una maestría o una
diplomatura en estudios sobre la
paz y la resolución de conflictos en uno de los seis Centros de Rotary pro Paz en importantes
universidades de Australia, Inglaterra, Japón, Suecia, Estados Unidos y Tailandia.

la paix. Ces bourses, attribuées après une sélection à l’échelle mondiale, financent des
études théoriques et pratiques préparant les diplômés à exercer des fonctions de leadership

Jusqu’à 110 boursiers sont sélectionnés chaque année selon des critères personnels,
académiques et professionnels. Le programme d’étude est sanctionné par un diplôme de niveau

della pace del Rotary. La borsa offre formazione accademica e pratica per preparare i borsisti a

A Fundação Rotária já está aceitando pedidos para Bolsas Rotary pela Paz. O programa
proporciona treinamento acadêmico e prático para preparar os bolsistas a assumir papéis de
liderança na resolução de conflitos pelo mundo.
Até 110 estudantes são escolhidos todos os anos em um processo competitivo baseado em
realizações pessoais, acadêmicas e profissionais. Os bolsistas podem fazer mestrado ou curso de
aperfeiçoamento profissional em um dos seis Centros Rotary pela Paz em renomadas universidades na
Austrália, Inglaterra, Japão, Suécia, Estados Unidos e Tailândia.
