Why do we love/ like social networking sites?

Mostly teen agers, youngsters, or even oldies have at least one social network nowadays. One of those social networks are Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and etc. Even me I have pages of all those sites. It became a part of our life, anyway does it have a positive or negative effect?

all i can say is both because looking at the positive side you get to make 100 friends a month and 1000 in a year and you get updated about what is hot happening and fantastic.negative side it can expose your image in a bad way and can even sometimes make enemies

For me, it helps keeping in touch with frends which are in different countries. I can follow what's happenning in their life and I feel more connected. Social network is also a great way to share ideas with people with a similar interrest.
With twitter what I like is the live aspect of thinks. I know what's happenning now. For exemple my bank had trouble with their online banking and I saw straight away on twitter that I was not the only one, and that was long before the official message from the bank. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Reach for the moon because even if you miss you will land among the stars"

We like it because it gives it a chance to connect with our friends and peers and see what they are doing.

For people, who do more technical things with IT, going on the social network is a way of looking away from the rigour of solving IT problem and easing e-stress

People like social networking sites for identity, connect with others and want to build relationship. Nowadays businesses are also using social networking sites for marketing campaign to build up a solid brand. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- online payday loan | payday loans Utah

People love social networking sites because it keeps them in the know. Everyone is connected and can know what's going on around the world at all times. There virtually isn't anything you can' find out from social networking. I do believe that social networking can have a negative effect on people though. Social networks such as Facebook, Tumblr or Twitter can have a negative impact because people become "addicted" to them, constantly checking to see if anything new is going on or posting too much about personal things that shouldn't on the internet. Other social networking sites such as Formspring or Spillit have an extreme negative in pact especially on the majority that is using them, youth. Those types of social networks create cyber-bullying because you have the option of remaining anonymous and saying what you want about other people, which in most cases I've seen is negative. The side effects of this can be long term and damaging on most youth, I've also seen it result in suicide. I'm not saying that all social networking is negative because there can be positive accepts, such as the social networking site we're all using right now: TakingITGlobal. TIG is used to make a difference and bring youth together in a positive way: to become more globally aware. Which should have a very positive affect on youth that are engaged.
