Music-school research about hybrid forms

Heyas you all!
I'm doing a research for my school project about HYBRID (polystylisic) musical forms - i have to find its origins, composers that use(d) them and define it. Has anybody heard of it yet or does anybody know of any sites that talk about this "issue"? Any help would be most welcome!!
